Begin Again

Memory Moving Forward

"My body memory is different than your body memory."
-Rosangela Silvestre

Where to begin?
Every day we begin again.
Every choice, every circumstance, every opportunity (or lack thereof), every conversation, every connection changes us.

I am a different woman today, than I was yesterday. Every moment
is an opportunity for transformation. Every breath an invitation to begin again.

So this will not be a linear process. No, No. This will be an ebb and flow of memories,
a cascade of stories,
a flow of inspiration awakened,
spirit-led and soul-fed.

Our bodies are storytellers, wisdom keepers. And yet, through our historical and present-day lenses, our memories show up different.
Our stories show up different.
Our Bodies show up different.

Many of us are confronting and grappling with the memories that live in our bodies, generation after generation. Some of our traumas show up as physical and mental illness, disease, addiction, disruptive patterns and behaviors.
Research has shown this time and time again.
Yes, Trauma is generational.
And
So is Healing.
So is Joy.
So is Resilience.
So is Compassion.
So is Love.

So everyday is an opportunity to choose.

We have a choice to take responsibility in honoring our ancestral truths, and the truths of others.

We have a choice to have empathy for each other and accountability for ourselves.

We have a choice to acknowledge our own body memory, and recognize it is different than our neighbor, our friend, our co-worker, our partner.

We have a choice to discover the place where we all meet.

We have a choice to Move Memory Forward.
